Peak Climbing in Nepal

33 of Nepal's peaks have been designated as 'Trekking Peaks'. The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) issues permissions for expeditions to these with very simple formalities. The NMA was founded in 1973 with the objectives of promoting mountaineering activities in the Nepal Himalaya, safeguarding the interests of Nepalese involved in expeditions by upgrading their professional and mountaineering skills, popularizing mountaineering activities among Nepalese students and youths, and creating awareness, both at national and international levels, of the need to preserve the beauty of the Himalaya for future generations. Some Trekking Peaks are easy 'walk ups', but others are technical and can sometimes be dangerous. In general a team of guides, porters, kitchen crews and both kitchen and camping gear are necessary to undertake expeditions to these peaks.

Peak Climbing

Trekking does not mean Peak climbing. Trekking generally means to walk on the trials. Peak climbing is little more ambitious with a view of adventure since it is scaling of the Snowy Peaks of the Great Himalayas. The experiment and enjoyment that you get from the entire procedures and the views from the top of the peak are wonderful and unforgettable in lifetime.

Nepal is a rich country of Mountains/Peaks. In Nepal including Mt. Everest the highest peak of the world, there are about 1300 peaks of higher than 6000 meter. Eight Peaks are in Nepal among fourteen higher than 8000 meter of the world. Likewise 32 peak higher than 7200 meter are here in this small country.

There are several trekking peaks open for alpine climbing under NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association). The climbing of these peaks are controlled under the rules & regulations conducted by the association. Being a member of the NMA Skyline Treks & Expedition (P.) Ltd. helps you to organize peak climbing program in different regions of Nepal.

The Trekking Peaks of Nepal gives hobby-climbers an opportunity to tackle a high Himalayan peak without having to organize a major expedition. Although these peaks are lower than their more famous cousins - the 8000-meter peaks - many of the climbs are no less demanding and adventurous in nature. By Himalayan standards these are considered minor peaks, but in fact some of them are relatively challenging snow and Ice climbing of high standard.

Our company provides you qualified & trained climbing guide and other staffs to take non-climbers for convenience, safety & expected successes with 100% guaranteed services to make your trek together with peak climbing trip simple and take care. Please check your required programs detail and for information contact us.
